Oregon City Police are offering a reward for information related to a theft of a flight logbook and aviation materials.

Justin Schlimpert told police that someone broke into his car while it was parked in front of his home on Frontier Parkway on Wednesday, Nov. 4. Schlimpert is a flight instructor with Willamette Aviation and told police that thieves stole important items valued at $8,000 that are necessary for his job.

But the most damaging loss, Schlimpert said, only cost $10. It was his flight logbook in which he records all of the hours he flies.

The Oregon City Police Department is offering a $50 reward to the person that turns in the flight logbook to the department with no questions asked.

The department is also offering a $150 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person or people responsible for the theft. The items that were taken include a flight backpack, flight headset, flight radio, GPS and duffel bag, and most of the items have Willamette Aviation documented on them.

Anyone with information can contact the Oregon City Police Department at 503-657-4964.
